Believers Charged and Indicted

And most who believe in Allaah they also associate with him 12:106
The Qur’aan has declared that Believers have committed ‘Crimes against the Almighty’. They have been identified, arrested, indicted, and are out on bail awaiting their trial dates. All believers are not guilty of this crime just most of them are. The capital offense of ‘Shirk’ is what they shall stand trial for.
The statute of Shirk is defined as; associating any other person or thing with or above Allaah and/or his authority. Though the actual words used to describe the statute of Shirk are limited in number its scope is extremely broad and is possible because there can be but one plaintiff to this crime hence one victim, however, there can be numerous perpetrators, codefendants, conspirators, and co-conspirators.
I believe that only the biggest of fools would think much less believe or say that God lies. Therefore the only choice one has is to believe the above verse is true. The verse is a truth, a damming one but true, so some thought should be given to it. It might help to somewhat break the verse down or to even flip the script. I would define the word “most” as meaning the majority of any given amount and associate as a companion or partner. These two words and definitions are sufficient for my understanding of the verse. Now I am going to do a little ‘flipping’ but before I do I would like to give you verse 4:48, my reason for ‘flipping’
Verily Allaah forgives not associating with him, but forgives other than that to whomsoever he chooses,
but whoever associates with Allaah has definitely fabricated a great sin 4:48
Because God has said he will not forgive Shirk it must be the greatest crime that can be committed, greater even than murder - taking another’s life. Since I can’t use murder to flip with I need an alternative, I decided to use ‘treason’ as an alternative. Were you ready for that one? So I flipped while using ‘treason’, it worked for me because of its definition, who or what it can be committed against, and the penalty. You have the statute which is Shirk, its definition, who commits the crime, the penalties, whether the offense can be pardoned, and a version of flipping. At this point I need nothing else to encourage my staying away from Shirk; the stop sign is large enough for me.
And when received from your Lord from the children of Adam from their loins their offspring’s / descendants testimony on their selves am I not your Lord, they said yes we bear witness, lest you say on the day of judgment verily of this I was unaware 7:172
and verily many of mankind from our signs are heedless 10:92
but on Allaah put your trust if you are a believer 5:23
and whoever does not judge by what Allaah has sent down they are the disbelievers 5:44
When verses 12:106 and 4:48 are combined with the descriptions and penalties, and then verses 7:172, 10:92, 5:23, and 5:44 are taken into consideration, you have all the ingredients for a formula of destruction!
Muslims and Believers are supposed to be uncommon and they should “stand out from the crowd” and be easily identified. For too many Muslims and Believers being known for not eating pork, wearing a kufi or khimaar on their head, and attending Friday service at the Maasjid is sufficient enough to stand out from the crowd. Their real concern is for man - for not appearing to be a part of the ‘dunyaa’ (the world) - and not for Allaah. They cower at the very thought of really being different. The true fear for Muslims and Believers should only be of swerving from the word of God, but instead they fear being considered nonconformists, which they should be. Being a conformist means being like the majority and like most of the people. Uh oh, there’s that word “most” again. They are supposed to light a spark of positive curiosity and envy from non-Muslims and non-Believers and not because they wear a kufi, turban, khimaar, or jilbaab, their difference should be internal; it should radiate out and be manifest in everything they say and do. When you compare yourself to the “most” of them (verse 12:106) and you fit in you have a problem and it would be advisable to fix it before it is too late. Consider these please; who created for you the air, water, and food which you need to live? Who created everything that you need to live and is essential for you? It was God! Yet you deny him the honor and respect he truly deserves.
They measure not Allaah his true measure, verily Allaah is powerful strong 22:74
O you who believe reverence Allaah as he should be and do not die except you are submitters 3:102
God not only knows what is essential for your material life and provides for it, he also knows what is essential for your spiritual life and provides for it also, he sent his word down to you. That brings to mind a song I often heard the choir sing in church, he sent his “Blessed Assurance” down to you. And what is the response from the “most” of them? I need more; Lord, I have you but I need someone else also, I have The Qur’aan but I need something else also. You thumb your nose at God the ungrateful creatures that you “most” of them are. Am I being too harsh?
Verily the mankind to his Lord is very ungrateful 100:6
How can you disbelieve in Allaah 2:28
Again I ask, is that too harsh? Apparently not because that is God astounded and asking how it can even be ‘possible’ to disbelieve in him.
If we are too ignorant to trust our Lord and have faith that he has not and will not abandon us, if we are too ignorant to believe his word with no reservations whatsoever, then we deserve just what we get on the Day of Requital. It would be our own fault and no one else would be to blame. God did not include any verses in The Qur’aan telling us to follow someone’s sun’a. You can not find any verses in The Qur’aan telling us to follow a bunch of Imaam’s, Shaykh’s, Muftiy’s, so called scholars, and writers. You can rely on them if you want to, follow them if you want to, and continue to be a part of those in verses 12:106 and 4:48 if you want to, but I will tell you this with all sincerity; if God wants us to follow anyone or anything he says it clearly, unambiguously, so there cannot be any doubt about it and will not have to interpret it. You may not have thought about this but please do consider it; every single time someone tells us to follow someone or something other than the word of God, The Qur’aan, ‘they interpret it’. Why do they not give us the chapter and verse from The Qur’aan where God plainly states; “follow him or her” or “follow this”? The reason why they do not is because they cannot, and they know it; so they reinterpret verses from The Qur’aan then tell you “that is what it means”. That’s pure garbage, God does not play games, that is not his sun'a, his commands are absolutely clear for us.
and those who put their trust on Allaah for him Allaah is sufficient,
verily Allaah brings about his command,
certainly Allaah has made to all things an ordination 65:3
There is a Christian Pastor on television whose Sunday morning sermons I enjoyed watching and for years rarely missed any of them. During that period of time I not only learned a lot from him I also developed a great deal of respect for him and continued to watch his broadcasts until he took it upon himself to conduct an on air series comparing Christianity and Al Islaam, but it was not just the series that caused me to stop watching him, he was also the reason. When I heard about the upcoming series I looked forward to it and believed I would continue to learn from him as I had in the past, and I was right, I did learn, but not what I thought. In the beginning his series was straightforward, factual, and informative, an honest comparison of Christianity and Al Islaam and the Pastor not only had my attention, but also my admiration. But after a number of week’s things slowly began to change, I believe it was around the time when his focus was centering in on Jesus and Muhammad; it began morphing into Al Islaam bashing. Even at that point I did not immediately turn from him, since he was a Christian Pastor I did not expect him to be a proponent for Al Islaam but it continued on in its negative spiral until I finally had to accept the truth and where he was headed, it was disappointing to say the least. I had to stop watching him because I believe anyone who considers them self to be a religious leader should always be respectful of the beliefs of others and in my opinion that was not what he was doing, he also lost my respect. I do not participate in, go along with, or accept the bashing of anyone’s beliefs, rather than ridicule them I prefer to be quite, I prefer to be quiet and follow the advice given in The Qur’aan 6:108--And do not revile those whom they call to beside Allaah. I considered his behavior disrespectful for anyone to do but for it to be done by a person who considered and projected himself to be a ‘leader and man of God’ was shocking, and in my opinion also disrespectful to his faith and to God. That was the last time I turned to or watched any of that Pastor’s sermons, but like I said earlier I had learned from him. There was one thing that I remembered from the Pastors prior sermons, at some point he would ask his congregation and the television audience to join him in prayer and during the prayer he would say “Lord we set ourselves - or help us to be - in agreement with you.” “Lord we set ourselves in agreement with you.” Those words in the prayer had an impact on me for they reflect the correct attitude I believe Muslims and Believers should have.
As Muslims and Believers we should be involved in the jihaad of “setting ourselves in agreement with God!” But Muslims and Believers apparently expect “God to set himself in agreement with them,” well brothers and sisters that is not how it works. The “most” of them arrive at ideas and conclusions either on their own or accept them from sources other than The Qur’aan. They expect The Qur’aan to agree with their ideas, conclusions, and what someone else has told them, and if The Qur’aan does not agree with them they ignore The Qur’aan rather then change. That is arrogance and ignorance, and it is a disastrous combination. There is a short statement at the end of a verse that can not be any clearer.
and Allaah knows and you know not 24:19
Muslims and Believers seem to have forgotten one of God’s attributes is Al Aliym, the one who knows and whose knowledge is perfect, permanent, and unlimited. How do you feel about it, do you think we should be ’setting ourselves in agreement with God,’ or the opposite? God asks a question in The Qur’aan that we would be wise to think seriously about, and then answer it.
Is not Allaah enough for his servants 39:36
I originally used “Believers Indicted and Convicted” as the title for this thesis but I changed it because it is not too late for some of the “most” of them to make a change. Guilty or innocent, which will it be? I have made my choice, I chose Allaah! It is up to you to make your choice, but before you do please spend some time thinking about the outcome of your decisions, also reflect on the previous verse, 39:36
.
There is no compulsion in the way of life (diyn), certainly clear direction is distinct from error 2:256
Verily Allaah it is who is my Lord and your Lord,
worship him it is the straight path 43:64
