Bukhari
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler, he will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizya tax. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (as charitable gifts). Vol. 3 #656
Al Qur’aan
و لو نشآء لجعلنا منكم ملآءكة فى الارض يخلفون
And if it were Our Will We could make angels from amongst you succeeding each other on the earth 43:60 (Yusuf Ali)
And if our will would make us from you angels in the earth succeeding 43:60 (Triple A)
و انه لعلم للساعة فلا تمترن بها و اتبعون هاذا صراط مستقيم
And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment):
therefore have no doubt about the (Hour) but follow ye Me:
this is a Straight Way 43:61 (Yusuf Ali)
And verily they / it a sign to the hour so not have doubt in it but follow me,
this the path straight 43:61 (Triple A)
هآانتم هآءولآء حاججتم في ما لكم به علم فلم تحآجون في ما ليس لكم به علم و الله يعلم و انتم لا تعلمون
Lo you are those who argue about that which you have some knowledge,
why then do you argue about that which you have no knowledge,
and Allaah knows and you do not know 3:66
Bukhari, Yusuf Ali, Faruwq Malik, the Noble Quran (and others) have 43:61 referring to Jesus as a sign of the coming of the hour (judgment). However, that is not supported by Al Qur’aan, firstly Esaa (Jesus) is not mentioned in 43:61 (in Arabic) and secondly, 43:60 is referring to the Malaaikat (Angels) therefore; it is the Malaaikat (Angels) which are the sign of the hour (judgment). We need to be very careful about our beliefs, where they come from, and why we believe them. When we read, we should also put some thought into what we are reading; we are feeding on the words of others (including mine). If Allaah said it – in Al Qur’aan – it is an absolute truth but if it is from a supposed translation, an interpretation, then beware, compare it to the Arabic. The same goes for ahaadiyth, are they verified in Al Qur’aan, have they authoritative foundations based on Allaah’s kitaab (decree)? Take a tip from the “Fundamentals of Boxing”; keep your guard up. Think, think!
