Weeping

Weeping for Islaam should be our lot
Because of what we have made of our diyn (way of life)
A glorious decent
Through the seven was it sent
The words of our Lord
A divine decree
Guidance for living
And to please Al Rahmaani
Weep we should do
For those of the oppressed
Victims of the fitna (affliction)
From within our breasts
Widows and orphans
On the sides of the roads
Who beg for bread
With the sky as their roof
And the ground as their bed
Weep for the women
Who must wear a tent
With two holes cut out
To allow them to see
While ensuring that they
Cannot be seen
Weep for the men
Who strut like peacocks
While fingering beads
And think that will be counted
As their good deeds
The men discard their wives
Saying “I divorce thee”
While women must beg
And they are told
“You must give back that which I had given to you
before I consider setting you free!”
That’s not in Al Qur’aan
From whence did it come?
bida'a (innovation), from the maraszun (disease)
In your own sadrun (heart, breast)!
When you assemble for khutba’s (lectures, talks)
While sitting on floors
You should be drowning in tears
For the Imaam’s (leaders) are no more
They stand at their minbar’s (pulpits)
As the Sultans (authorities) of Islaam
While writing the laws of Diyni Allaahi (way of life decreed by Allaah)
With their own hand
They conceal the truths
Which they should know
If they studied Al Kitaab (The Decree)
As they were told
They take pride in sitting
On the floors in masjidun (house of worship)
They’ve convinced you
That will get you to jannatun (paradise)
And, khaaliduwn (remain there)
Yes, weep for the Islaam
That it has become
Weep for The Submission
That is no more
